This was the last week before the start of school and I swear it flew by while at the same time lasting forever. But most weeks do when heading into three-day weekend. Not to mention highly anticipating having my husband around for an extra day to help with the kids. I am hoping we will get around to starting the design for a new deck and the kids backyard fort. Throw in a day at the beach with friends and a last summer BBQ before our Thomas starts THIRD grade.
Third grade. I can’t believe I’m a mom of a third grader. We got teacher assignments yesterday and two of Thomas’ best friends are in his class so I’d say we are off to a good start.
In the meantime, here are a few things that caught my eye this week
Society 6 just launched their new tapestry collection and this one immediately caught my eye. It would look great on a white wall with some natural wood furniture around it. Our home has limited wall space since we have windows everywhere but I am sure I can find a spot for this. I really love the idea of mixing hanging textiles and frames in the same room to give it an eclectic vibe.
Like I said before I think that tapestry with the melbourne chair would look great together. I could spend some time curled up with my favorite book in this chair.
As hard as it is to admit, fall is approaching. Which means I won’t get away with summer dresses all day, everyday. But this SIENNA STRIPE PONCHO from The Loft would be a great piece to pair with jeans or shorts. Plus the colors are subtle and remind me of summer. Seriously, I would sleep in that.
and lastly, from the archives… OUR WEDDING FEATURE
Check back next week for my first EDesign and more.
Happy Labor Day!
